I am a writer from Oklahoma, now based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2019, I completed an MFA in creative writing from Louisiana State University, where I served as the nonfiction editor of New Delta Review and co-directed Delta Mouth Literary Festival. My essays, reviews, and articles have appeared in The Bitter Southerner, Bright Wall/Dark Room, Los Angeles Review of Books, Scalawag, and other publications. My journalism tends to cover the culture and politics of overlooked or marginalized groups; my literary and film criticism concerns the same, as well as formally experimental work. I’m also co-host of Cold War Cinema, a podcast about movies from the early years of the Cold War and the fraught politics of the era.
